Are your assets protected?

Despite the very best deterrents it is a fact that valuable assets still get stolen. Whether it is a generator, plant equipment, a caravan or RIB, the inconvenience and interruption caused to you or your business is expensive and inconvenient. Using a Carnetics Asset Tracker™ to protect your valuable assets allows you to be react in the event of a theft and aid in its recovery.

How does it work?

The device obtains a location using GPS which means it is accurate to within 5 metres anywhere in the world. Once fitted, you are able to monitor the asset location at any time day or night using your password protected connection to the Carnetics secure server. The device calculates its position with an accuracy of 5 meters using GPS satellites. The Asset has very sophisticated and effective power management to allow it to operate either when connected to an external power supply or, with reduced functionality, from a set of internal batteries. It then transmits the location information to the Carnetics server which allows you access to the data. Notification of the devices location can be sent to you by e-mail or by SMS to as many phone numbers as you need. Talk to one of our experts about the configuration best suited to your needs.

If the instruction was to notify on movement, the device will detect movement then search for the sky for satellites that can be used to obtain a GPS fix. When it has achieved the fix the details will be transmitted to the secure server then forwarded to the e-mail or text addresses you have registered. The Asset can also be programmed to alert if the device moves out of a set geographical area, again if it detects that the device has moved out of the area you have set via the Carnetics secure website, it will alert you through the e-mail or text addresses you have registered.

Installation

Carnetics skilled engineers have experience of covertly fitting Asset Tracker™ to a wide variety of equipment that needs to be monitored. The unit is normally connected to the power supply of the asset and an internal back up operates in the event of power being lost or disconnected. Our team of engineers cover the country and can covertly install at any UK postcode, usually in less than one hour. Where you already have your own team of vehicle engineers we can provide guidance on self installation.

How do I use it?

Controlling your device requires connection from any computer to the Carnetics secure website or sending a message from your mobile phone using your password. From either source you will be able to arm, disarm or find your Asset. The Asset will respond to the same source with confirmation and the appropriate results. This allows you the flexibility to control the device from any location in the world. A full range of accessories to compliment the Asset Tracker™ are available, including adaptor modules, brackets, magnets and waterproof bags.
